Mind Body Detox

About Mind Body Detox

Bill Frost (PDCHyp, DCHyp, BSc(Hons), NLP-MP, NLP-LC) returned to the field of psychotheapy in 1999 following a career in science, business and I.T. management. He has also spent time as a U.N. NGO aid-worker working in Croatia and Albania. He now works on a full-time basis as a qualified professional therapist as well as the facilitator behind High Wycombe based Mind Body Detox.

On a post-graduate basis Bill trained as a clinical hypnotherapist with the London College of Clinical Hypnotherapy. These qualifications were then maximised by undertaking NLP Master Practitioner training (specifically for therapists) in the USA. Bill has also undertaken ongoing professional development training to ensure that his knowledge is updated with the latest research in the field.

His personal achievements include being a published periodical writer and scaling several high-altitude peaks including Everest Base Camp 5,500M (Nepal), Annapurna Base Camp 5,000M (Nepal) and Kilimanjarno 6,000M (Tanzania). Bill used his skills as a therapist to overcome a fear of heights / suffocation before ascending his first high altitude mountain.

Some time before meeting these challenges Bill was forced to overcome an even greater challenge: recovery from major back surgery (featured in GQ Active Magazine). He used hypnotherapy to control pain, promote healing and to prepare for the complex neuro-surgery.

He is also a PADI certified (Open Water) scuba diver with experience in Thailand, Egypt and Tanzania (Zanzibar). Before learning to scuba dive he also used his skills to overcome fears of enclosed spaces / deep water. The ultimate test of this changed state was to undertake several deep water dives through a large ship wreck at 90M in the Red Sea!

Bill also has an interest in Buddhism and has spent time at a number of Buddhist monasteries learning aspects of the Buddhist approach to meditation, well being and health.

In the ever changing world of psychology it is important that therapists continue to seek out new techniques and training courses. This ensures that knowledge remains current and that clients benefit from the most innovative methods available. This means that combined therapeutic approaches can be employed for even more rapid results.

It was on this basis that Bill trained in the USA to become a Certified Humanistic Neuro-Linguistic Psychology Master Practitioner and a Humanistic Neuro-Linguistic Psychology Certified Life Coach.

Bill Frost has considerable experience of working with addictions including crack cocaine, heroin, Valium, marijuana and alcohol as well as all of the underlying issues that these substances are sometimes used to suppress.
