Is it possible to use hypnosis to train yourself to fall asleep faster, why do some people seem to fall asleep after 10 minutes while others can take an hour or longer.

A number of factors can be involved that may include: personal circadian rhythms (morning or night people), stimulant intake (including nicotine), alcohol consumption, stress / anxiety levels, tendencies to ruminate, levels of exercise and age. The most common issue is rumination (thinking too much) which can most certainly be managed using self-hypnosis in combination with life-style changes where appropriate. So yes, you can use hypnosis to train yourself to fall asleep more rapidly and easily.
