I am considering some hypnotherapy treatment for a variety of problems including generalised anxiety, stress, insomnia and social phobia. How many sessions might be required?

The issues that you mention can all respond well to a combination of hypnotherapy and / or NLP. Hypnotherapy is used to introduce new coping strategies to the unconscious mind and NLP is very effective in terms of providing you with in the moment coping strategies.

As the two approaches intersect rapid change is probable, hence the number of sessions would be as few as possible in order for you to achieve your goals. Also, it may be worth noting that insomnia can be a side effect of other issues and tends to resolve itself as other issues are resolved.

Hi Bill, I am suffering from panic attacks when I have to speak in a large group or going on a date with a girl I just met etc. The feeling I get is a feeling of not being able to speak and looking like an idiot - can you do anything to help this?

Hi Frank, what you're probably experiencing is performance anxiety and as you indicated hypnotherapy combined with NLP does tend to be very effective. This is not necessarily a deep seated issue - especially if you have been able to speak to large groups in the past. Please eMail me to discuss further.
