Most certainly - we use a combination of clinical hypnotherapy to facilitate unconscious choice, and EMDR / NLP (Eye Movement Desensitisation / Neuro Linguistic Psychology) to loosen the concrete in the first instance. Depending on the level of consumption a period of initial abstinence (dry out period) may or may not be required. Most people however find that a couple of weeks of being a non-drinker has positive benefits in its own right. The choice is of course yours. I would advise a single extended session (3 hrs) followed by one or more boost sessions assuming that you're going down the control route without a period of abstinence. (Suitable where the is no dependence at all). With the period of abstinence we start with a standard session (1.5 hrs), you don't drink alcohol for two weeks and we schedule an extended session for the end of the period of abstinence, this would be followed by one or more boost sessions. As part of the process you will be provided with a range of resources including take-home notes, audio CDs as well as several software utilities. Our goal is to provide you with alternative coping mechanisms, to start to resolve any directly related underlying issues (if any exist and only if required / necessary) and to provide you with a new found sense of control.
